Leadership with a Godly Passion
The
Het Brantpunt (The Fire Point) Conference Center in Doorn, Netherlands
was the site for the May 2007 Western Europe Conference, themed Leadership
with a Godly Passion. The conference was attended by 45 members of the
CBSI Team working in Western European countries. It was a time of encouragement
and learning how the Lord is using the CBSI ministry to bring His Word
to Europe and to bring changes to the hearts and lives of its people.
Treated to gracious hospitality by the Center, the team shared in worship,
prayer, stories, testimonies, training workshops and all around refreshing
fellowship.
Pastor Ron van der Spoel inspired all to Accept the Word, Do the Word,
and Stay in the Word with his teaching from the book of James.
He explained that if our roots are firmly planted and nurtured by daily
in-depth Bible study, then the fruit of the Holy Spirit will change our
lives and our deeds, ultimately bringing honor and glory to our Lord.
CBSI Western European Regional Director, Gilles Cailleaux, shared with
the group CBSI’s vision and values along with several updates on
CBSI worldwide. At this time several key leadership changes were announced.
Gilles announced that Margre Hays has accepted the position as the very
first CBSI National Director for the Netherlands. He also highlighted
the transition of Veronica Alvarez as the newly appointed CBSI National
Director for the United Kingdom. Veronica replaces Joyce Bromley, who
is retiring from the position after 25 years of faithful service to the
Lord. Finally Vicki McIntyre announced the appointment of Dawn Sunstrom
as CBSI Multi-cultural Director for Western Europe
The Western European leadership valued this time together as they were
encouraged to Lead with a Godly Passion for His Glory.
