About Community Bible Study International
Community Bible Study International (CBSI) is about training and equipping national leaders in their own countries, empowering them to reach their own countrymen and women. CBS Bible study materials are translated in their native language and classes are lead by trained locals. CBSI classes might look different than CBS classes in the United States—classes sometimes take place outside under a tree, or in someone’s house—but CBSI operates under the same “non-negotiables” and principles as CBS in the U.S.When a CBSI ministry is started in a country, the goal is not for CBSI to be an “American” ministry. The goal is for each country to have a national ministry that is self-determined, self-directed, and self-funded. From initial training, to mature national ministries, to national ministries reaching out to other nations, CBSI now has dynamically equivalent and culturally relevant translations of CBSI curriculum in nearly 50 languages. Thousands can study God’s Word in their heart language.
