Anita Zahniser
My love for the Japanese people has grown over the past 60 years as God has continually
crossed my path with theirs. My love for the Word of God began 33 years ago, alone
with a Bible and the Holy Spirit, He “rescued me from the dominion of darkness.”
When I learned of the Caleb Connection in 2009, God impressed upon me that this
is His chosen path to combine these two loves as I help equip Japanese Christians
to make disciples with CBSI’s in-depth Bible studies. After training, my first
Caleb trip in spring of 2011 was interrupted by Japan’s triple disaster: the
Great Tohoku earthquake, tsunami and consequent nuclear threat. The food and electrical
shortages in Japan made this the wrong time to visit. As we pray for Japan’s
recovery, let us also pray that as God is plowing up hearts, our brethren in Japan
will have boldness in sharing their hope in Christ.

Ron and Char Schwedland
Ron and Char Schwedland are part-time missionaries for Community Bible Study International
(CBSI) known as Calebs. Beginning in 2010 our focus country is Philippines and CEBU
is the region. We intend to travel there two times a year for about a month each
time, starting in the fall of 2011 Our mission is to introduce Christian leaders
and organizations to the ministry of CBSI, provide materials, train leaders, and
encourage leaders and classes in the country. Each goal will be complete when we
have handed off a new class to the national leadership team of the Philippines to
administer the ministry within the country permanently.

Rich and Betsy Castle
They present CBSI to interested English and Thai speakers,
provide resources, train leaders, and encourage and shepherd
classes. God is using CBSI as an evangelism tool to bring
Thais to a saving belief in Jesus Christ and, even more, to
disciple Thai Christians who have not had Bible study materials
available in Thai. Rich and Betsy's passion is to see the Thais
studying God’s Word in their heart language!
Community Bible Study is proud to be a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial
Accountability. The ECFAs Standards of Responsible Stewardship focus on board governance,
