What Makes CBSI Unique?

The first Community Bible Study International class started as a result of prayer, and the ministry continues to undergird everything it does with the same emphasis on prayer. This is God's ministry, and we seek to do everything for His glory! The focus of CBSI is to glorify God.

In that light, the following are three ways that CBSI is unique:

•  Different Languages of Operation
CBSI has materials translated into 38 languages, with more translations on the way. For a list of available languages, click here.

•  Various Courses Available
CBSI uses CBS lessons as their translation material. There are a variety of courses available ranging from six to 30 week studies, covering books of the Bible from both the Old and New Testament. Studies from each section of the Bible have been translated including the Law, History, Poetry, Letters and Epistles, and Prophecy.

•  Our 5-Step Method

1. Individual Study: Class members answer the study questions from the lesson on their own with only the Bible as their resource.
2. Group Sharing: Members gather together weekly in a common meeting place. There, they share their answers in a Small Group led by a trained leader who facilitates the sharing so that everyone feels comfortable.
3. Concise Teaching: After sharing, the class members receive a lecture on the passage by a trained teacher.

4. Commentary and Study Questions: A printed commentary written by a Biblical scholar is then provided, which gives the class members further insight into the passage. The questions for the next week's lesson are attached to this commentary.
5. Loving Community: Each class member is lovingly cared for by the Small Group Leader and others in the class.
