Dr. Glenn Collard has had the privilege of serving Christ in education, pastoral ministry and cross-cultural ministries. Glenn, raised in a Christian home, personally accepted Christ as Lord and Savior when he was 10 years old. From his earliest days when he began to serve the Lord as a college freshman, he has sought to fulfill the call of God on his life. Glenn and his wife Dianne lived in Europe for 15 years as missionaries. It is that experience Glenn brings to his role with CBSI: the Senior Regional Director for Europe. Glenn and Dianne are the parents of three children. Their oldest son, Tim, is with the Lord. Their other two adult children are married and serving the Lord. Glenn and Dianne reside in Charlotte, NC. The Europe: East region is comprised of 28 countries; from Central and Eastern Europe to the Balkans and the former Soviet Union. All these countries share five long decades of official denial of God, rejection of Christ and ridicule of the Holy Bible. As I guide this region, the goal is to initiate and develop strong national CBS International ministries in each country. This involves raising up national leadership, forming national servants teams, translating the CBSI materials into the native languages, training people to lead the Bible study groups, with the desired end result being to finally to see people gathered together everywhere on a weekly basis to study the Mighty Word of the Living God.

In this region of the world, as the Church attempts to change the paradigm from general to individual, church services move from the traditional approach toward the more intimate small group setting. Considering the lack of trained leadership and the vacuum of sound Bible materials, CBS International fills the need of thousands of Christian leaders and millions of believers across Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.

I believe that in a matter of a decade or so CBS International could become the most prominent and powerful discipleship tool available for everyone across Europe. In order to effectively build up the body of Christ for God’s glory, I believe that each country in the region needs to adopt CBSI program, adapting it to their specific culture and operating it with their local resources. In this way the study of God’s Word will become culturally and personally pertinent, while remaining faithful to the integrity of God’s never-changing Word.
