New Hope in Haiti

CBS International once had a growing presence in the capital city of Port-au-Prince, Haiti with a large and active Bible study taking place at a local church. In the years that followed, political anarchy in the country made it too difficult to continue. Eventually the studies closed down.
Recently a worldwide relief effort has focused its attention on Haiti in an effort to stabilize this island nation. With it has come the opportunity for CBS International to return. CBSI Regional Director, Dr. Glenn Collard, has been invited to be the guest speaker at a Haitian Conference of Baptist Pastors this coming August. These pastors have come to recognize the need for solid and ongoing training to lead their people into in-depth study of God’s Word and have asked CBSI to train them and help them to establish the studies in their homeland.

establishment of the first Haitian CBSI class, and CBSI’s Mexico National Director, Shirley Adams, plan to attend this very pivotal conference where they will present the CBSI program and train 200 to 300 pastors on how to establish and develop CBSI in their country. A focus on training youth and college age leaders will also take place along with training for adult classes.
