Debbie Nilsen
Director of CBSI Children's Ministry

Debbie, has had a God-given passion for children for many years. She served as Children’s Director for five years at the Laguna Hills, California day class before accepting the position of Teaching Director. She remembers crying at the thought of leaving her CBS children, even to take on an equally worthy role.

In January of 2004 Debbie attended the Annual CBS TD Conference and met with the leadership of CBS International. One of her first questions was, “Do you have a children’s program?” Now, nearly two years later, Debbie directs CBSI’s newly established ministry for children.

Debbie’s looks forward to the future with enthusiasm and modesty. “There are a lot of mountains that God is in the process of smoothing out right now,” Debbie explains. “I must remember to be still and know He is God. God has called the least to serve so that He would be glorified the most. The Lord really brings a lot more to the table than I do, so I am anticipating this challenge with awe.”

As Debbie embarks on this new adventure, she prays that God will raise up more men and women to serve as CBSI Children’s Leaders around the world and that each class will provide a place where children can discover the truth of the Bible, and through God’s Word, develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
