Jerry and Carol Holte became especially interested in Scandinavia after meeting several of Jerry’s distant cousins from Norway. Then they learned of the Caleb ministry at a CBSI dinner in Los Angeles. The Holtes now travel to Scandinavia two or three times a year sharing the CBSI ministry. The Holtes have arranged for the translation of the CBSI materials into local languages and started several CBSI classes in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
Frank and Marian Vroegop are both leaders in CBS classes in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Through CBS they learned of the need to help establish and build CBSI in the Netherlands. Frank was born in the Netherlands and Marian’s heritage is also Dutch. They planned to pursue mission work after they retired but the CBSI Caleb program provided the flexibility to serve the Lord with CBSI and still enjoy time with their grandchildren.
As Chuck and Micki Harding considered retirement and live abroad in their sailboat, “coram Deo” in the Caribbean, they knew they would miss their Bible study they led in Detroit. After much prayer, God led them to the CBSI Caleb Ministry. They have started several CBSI Bible Studies on many of the islands in the Eastern Caribbean. They believe that God truly gave them the desires of their hearts (Psalm 37:4).
